We are very proud to announce that on 8th November members of our team took part in the Climb of Life, which involved them tackling the toughest mountains in the UK’s Lake District. We will post some videos from their worthy trek within the next week. However, in the meantime it’s not too late to donate. If you would like to make a donation to The Institute of Cancer Research, please click on the link below.
COL is the UK office product industry’s annual event that raises funds for the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). The 2018 event raised a record sum of £103,000 for the charity and has raised over £1.6m since the initiative was launched 32 years ago.
What is Climb of Life?
Climb of Life is an annual sponsored climb which takes place in the Lake District. This year, professionals from the office products industry scaled the Bow Fell & Esk Pikes in order to raise funds for the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR).
ICR is the third largest medical research organisation of its kind. Together with other leading centres across the world, it works to develop the best possible treatments for cancer sufferers.
How are we helping?
We are pleased to once again support the Climb of Life, following on from our sponsorship in 2018. Last year was a landmark year for the event and together, 120 climbers undertook a seven hour trek and raised £103,215 taking the running total across the £1m threshold for the first time.
One in three people will be affected by cancer in their lifetime. The funds raised by Climb of Life continue to support vital medical research to improve people’s chances of recovery in the future.
