Industry first office supplies subscription model hits UK market

With a recent Institute of Directors survey* finding that 74% of businesses will maintain permanent homeworking policies after the pandemic, workplace solutions supplier OfficeTeam, has launched a new subscription service to deliver monthly items directly to staff members’ doors. 

An industry first, the model — based on the classic subscription offerings in the retail industry — aims to give total cost of ownership to businesses at a time when the move to remote working has caused budgets to spiral out of control. 

Instead of employees placing an order for workplace supplies directly and claiming back via expense forms — costing on average £27.40 to the business to process each claim — staff will receive a pre-approved delivery each month which, based on their requirements, contains everything they need to carry out their role.

This full visibility of costs to businesses will prevent spend leakage, an issue reported by 90% of OfficeTeam customers. And the service will save businesses vast amounts of time as only one consolidated invoice will need to be processed.  

The new solution also aims to reduce OfficeTeam’s carbon footprint as part of its ongoing CSR strategy – resulting in more items per consignment and fewer deliveries, thus benefitting customers’ carbon agenda too.

Three levels of subscriptions are available, including essential supplies, a print service, and an executive pack containing everything needed to fully fit-out the home office, complete with furniture and technology.
