OfficeTeam Update 2019

2019 has been a year of immense change as Steve Horne joined OfficeTeam as Group CEO in March, having come from Euro Car Parts as COO where he grew it from a £160 million to a £1 billion business. He brings with him an unbiased approach and varied experiences from a number of industries and channels. This, he says,

prepared him well for the job in hand, allowed him to leverage all his previous experiences into one role and gave him the opportunity to change an industry by embracing what modern customers want”.

Much of Steve’s career has been spent identifying opportunities, driving profitable growth, while adding value to customers; and that is his plan for OfficeTeam, with the help of digital technologies.

So far this year, under Steve’s leadership, we’ve seen the successful re-engineering of our logistics infrastructure by rationalising and simplifying the supply chain, meaning improved stock availability and service to customers. The introduction of a wide range of new and innovative products, the migration of 90% of our online customers to SmartPad, OfficeTeam’s new enhanced procurement portal, and the launch of our new customer service and support software, Zendesk.

It’s been an exciting year and, in terms of what the future holds, it’s about embracing digital technologies, providing a robust platform with a wider offering than we have today, supported by world class customer service and a truly consolidated solution.

Group Commercial Director

In October, we welcomed Richard Oates as Group Commercial Director.  Richard comes with over 20 years’ experience in the retail and trade distribution sectors. Having worked within major plc’s including Ferguson, Morrison Supermarkets, Kingfisher and Home Retail Group; he has successfully delivered commercial strategies and programmes focused around the needs of the customer.

Richard brings a wealth of experience in category management and his most recent role was as Commercial Director for Wolseley, where he was responsible for product sourcing and supplier management for over £1.1Bn purchases.

Richard is working hard to build a strong commercial team to ensure our customers have access to the widest choice of products and services, introducing a comprehensive range of new and innovative solutions that will help make your working lives easier.

New Appointment!!!

We are very excited to announce the appointment of a CSR manager who will be joining OfficeTeam in January. This is a newly created role and demonstrates our commitment to investing in and driving forward an innovative CSR Strategy.  They will work to create strong links with our customers and define and develop the strategies that will underpin our CSR objectives, focusing on ‘people’, ‘planet’ and ‘performance’,
