Lighthouse Healthcare

Who are they?

Lighthouse Healthcare supports adults with complex needs including those with a learning disability, mental health conditions or those with autistic spectrum condition/Asperger’s Syndrome. They provide rehabilitation, treatment and support in a range of specialist hospital and care home settings in England & Wales and can offer a range of services from low secure hospital care and locked rehabilitation through to longer-term nursing care and residential mental health treatment therapies. All of their mental health care services focus on providing support for individuals through the core elements of person-centred planning, recovery and positive risk taking.

The challenge

Lighthouse continued to use different stationery suppliers and suffered ever increasing prices particularly on paper and toners. They had no previous fixed price list with its suppliers making it difficult to obtain the best prices and giving poor visibility on their overall spend. Deliveries proved to be inefficient as they were often sent by couriers rather than in house teams. As a result, Lighthouse really wanted to consolidate to one supplier that could not only cater to all their stationery needs, but provide a consistent, streamlined approach across its offering.

The Solution

OfficeTeam was able to provide all the products Lighthouse requested and secured good cost reductions over a fixed period of time. All of their business supplies are consolidated into one order and one invoice, with a clear breakdown of costs each month. This provided consistency and increased productivity to their business, giving them more time to focus on other areas of their business.

OfficeTeam implemented a dedicated Account Management team who enabled a smooth transition between themselves and the incumbent suppliers. In-depth face to face training, provided an explanation on how to use the online ordering system, budget control, as well as the returns procedure and relevant helpdesk contacts. The transfer between the previous suppliers was handled exceptionally well and was always available to deal with any queries quickly and efficiently. The contract continues to meet all the needs Lighthouse have requested to date.

OfficeTeam worked with Lighthouse to establish a core product list during the first 6 months of the contract. They benefitted from a significant improvement in service levels by having OfficeTeam as their only supplier with a dedicated account manager to cater to all their needs.

“Our units can place orders through the OfficeTeam online ordering system efficiently. If there were any queries whether its advice on product or which product to order, we could contact the regional call centre for advice and place orders over the telephone. Deliveries are generally next day by their in-house delivery vans. If returns need to be made for any reason the call centre arranges a pickup date with our units”

“OfficeTeam are very prompt with all our requests, for example when removing one of our closed units from the system to setting up new staff members as soon as they join the company”

“Office Team offer a wide range of stationery products, both branded and non brand products, other services such as printing services, office furniture, etc. are available also. Office Team appoint a dedicated account manager to your account who will assist in resolving any queries that the general call centre may not resolve. Deliveries are made by their own inhouse vans in the midlands area and next day delivery is common place – very rarely are products out of stock. For these reasons we have no problem in recommending Office Team to others. We have been a customer of Office Team since October 2011”
