We’re committed to doing business in a way that allows you, the communities we work in, our staff and our planet to thrive. This is embedded in our sustainability agenda which embraces a set of environmental and social initiatives, committed to delivering long term benefits.
OfficeTeam has over 3,000 environmental products carefully selected for their environmental credentials. We select suppliers who have honest credentials, respect human ethics, labour rights, health and safety regulations and legal compliance. This includes undertaking regular reviews, including factory inspections to ensure recognised standards and regulations are fully adhered to.
Our green delivery fleet won two Gold environmental awards in 2018. With over 1.2 million deliveries made per year, we are constantly looking at new ways to reduce the environmental impact of our logistics operations. We are proud to have electric and double deck vehicles as part of our delivery fleet, alongside state-of-the-art route planning software to calculate optimal routes and vehicle tracking devices to encourage sustainable driving behaviours.
To minimise the packaging waste created by our deliveries, we deliver the majority of orders in the original packaging received from the manufacturer – so no additional packaging is required whatsoever. Where we have no choice but to repack items, our next choice is to use paper bags that are made of recycled paper and can be recycled after use. These bags are FSC and PEFC certified and 100% biodegradable.
We are pleased to announce our recent transition to 100% renewable electricity, generated from offshore wind farms across the coasts of the UK.
The transition to renewable electricity will deliver an 840 tonne reduction in CO2 emissions p.a. off-set through our
new energy source. Annually, we will receive a Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) backed evidence report to provide our customers and staff transparency into our electricity mix. This is an important step towards building long-term green partnerships with our suppliers that will allow our customers, our staff, the communities we work with and the planet to thrive.
Every year, the commercial sector contributes to 33% of the annually generated carbon emissions. What can your business do to cut the CO2 in your supply chain?
At OfficeTeam we are passionate about working together with our customers towards a greener sustainable future through several key initiatives.
As part of OfficeTeam’s dedication to a greener future, we are pleased to announce our recent transition to 100% renewable electricity, sourced from UK wind.
